In December, our readers enjoyed lots of books by Mo Willems. If you saw our tree at school, you already know that he is one of our favorite authors! Knuffle Bunny inspired us to bring our own special friends to school!

Conversation from last week’s lunch…
Student: “Mrs. Motley, why are you a teacher?”
Mrs. M: “It’s the BEST job in the world!”
Student: “But we drive you crazy!” *laughing*
Mrs. M: “I used to work with grown-ups. They drive me crazy! AND they are not as much fun as kids.”
Student: “Really?”
Mrs. M: “If I worked with grown-ups, could I read books about pigeons and sing and have fun like we do in First Grade? I think you guys are WAY more fun.”
Student, with a shrug and another bite of PBJ: “Hmmm”
