Conversation from last week’s lunch…
Student: “Mrs. Motley, why are you a teacher?”
Mrs. M: “It’s the BEST job in the world!”
Student: “But we drive you crazy!” *laughing*
Mrs. M: “I used to work with grown-ups. They drive me crazy! AND they are not as much fun as kids.”
Student: “Really?”
Mrs. M: “If I worked with grown-ups, could I read books about pigeons and sing and have fun like we do in First Grade? I think you guys are WAY more fun.”
Student, with a shrug and another bite of PBJ: “Hmmm”
